Water sitting in the bottom, cloudy glasses, a puddle at the corner of the door, a start button that does nothing. Dishwasher faults are cheap to diagnose and usually cheap to fix — and the number is written before the kickplate comes off.
Same $99 diagnostic, same written quote, same warranty on every machine we fix.
From our own invoices around the Sea Islands. Your exact flat quote comes after the $99 diagnostic.
| What you notice | What it usually is | How we fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Won’t drain | Clogged drain pump or filter, kinked hose, or an air-gap / disposal connection | Pump cleared or replaced, drain path corrected |

| Leaks at the door | Worn door gasket, loose or cracked spray arm, or a faulty float switch | Gasket or float replaced, door realigned |
| Won’t start | Door latch / switch, control panel, or a thermal fuse | Latch or fuse replaced, panel only when confirmed |
| Dishes don’t dry | Heating element, high-limit thermostat, or a vent fan fault | Element or thermostat replaced |
| Noisy, grinding | Debris in the chopper / pump, or a failing wash motor | Pump cleared, motor replaced if worn |

Dishwashers are the quiet workhorse of a Sea Island kitchen, and they fail politely: a little water left behind, glasses that come out hazy, a start light that blinks at you. Almost all of it traces to the drain path, the circulation pump, the inlet valve or the door — faults we diagnose and fix on the first visit, with the $99 diagnostic included in the written price.
Island water plays a role here too. Mineral scale builds up in inlet valves and on heating elements faster than the manuals expect, which shows up as slow fills, poor cleaning and dishes that won’t dry. We clean what can be cleaned and replace what can’t, and we’ll tell you honestly if a rinse-aid habit and a monthly descale would spare you the next call.
Built-in dishwashers of every major brand, including the panel-front units in Kiawah and downtown kitchens. Completed dishwasher repairs start from $215, $99 diagnostic included.
Tell us the machine and the symptom. Same-week windows across the Sea Islands, often sooner.
The tech confirms the fault and writes one flat number. Approve it and the $99 becomes a credit.

📞 Call (843) 969-4415An inch of standing water after a cycle means it isn’t draining — usually a clogged filter, a blocked drain hose, or a pump. It’s one of the cheapest dishwasher repairs there is. If the disposal was recently replaced, check that its drain plug was knocked out; that’s a five-minute fix we’ll happily talk you through on the phone.
Often the water — mineral haze is common with island supply. But a weak circulation pump or clogged spray arms give the same look. The $99 diagnostic settles it, and if it’s the water we’ll say so and you can stop there.
We replace a failed machine when you’ve bought a new one and need it connected properly. We don’t sell appliances, so the recommendation you get is about the repair, not a sale.
Yes. The panel comes off, the machine is the same underneath, and the panel goes back on aligned. Common in the Kiawah, Seabrook and South of Broad kitchens we work in.
