The details

Stove, Range & Oven repairs, opened up.

Cooking appliances are the most repairable things in the kitchen. A dead burner is a socket or a switch; a cold oven is almost always an element or an igniter; an F-code usually points at a sensor rather than the expensive board the internet warns you about. We carry those parts, measure before we replace, and write one number — with the $99 inside it — before the oven door comes off.

Two local notes. Gas ranges are common in the newer Johns Island and Kiawah homes, and the salt air here is unkind to spark igniters and electrodes — a clicking burner that won’t light is one of our most frequent calls and one of the quickest fixes. And the historic kitchens downtown and in Riverland Terrace run a lot of veteran electric coil ranges that are absolutely worth repairing: sockets and switches are cheap, and the machines themselves last decades.

Freestanding, slide-in, wall ovens, cooktops, gas and electric, all the major brands. Completed range and oven repairs start from $259, $99 diagnostic included, and every gas job ends with a leak check.

Completed range repairs: from $259. The $99 diagnostic is credited into any repair you approve — decline, and $99 is the whole bill.

Do you work on gas ranges?

Yes — gas and electric both, at the same $99 diagnostic and the same warranty. Every gas repair finishes with a leak check before we leave.

My oven bakes unevenly. Is that fixable?

Usually. It’s most often the temperature sensor or a weak bake element, sometimes the convection fan. We calibrate the oven after the repair so it actually holds the number on the dial.

Can you fix a wall oven or a cooktop separately?

Yes. Built-in wall ovens and drop-in cooktops are common in Kiawah and Seabrook kitchens; we service both, including double ovens.

The display shows an F-code. Is the board dead?

Not usually. Most F-codes trace to a sensor, a door lock or a wiring fault. We measure the circuit before we ever quote a board, because a board is the most expensive way to fix a sensor.
